Terms & Conditions

Marjuviolin LTD

1. Booking & Confirmation
  • All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once Marju has provided written confirmation (via email or signed agreement).

  • Quotes provided do not constitute a reservation. If another client confirms and secures the same date with a deposit before you, Marju cannot be held responsible for the loss of availability.

  • A non-refundable down payment may be required to secure your booking. The booking is only confirmed upon receipt of this payment and written confirmation from Marju.

2. Payment Terms
  • Full payment must be made prior to the performance date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Failure to pay in full before the performance may result in cancellation of the booking, with no refund of any down payments.

3. Travel & Additional Expenses
  • Travel and accommodation expenses, if applicable, will be specified in your quotation and/or invoice.

  • Any additional costs incurred due to travel or special arrangements requested by the client will be agreed upon in advance and included in the final invoice.

4. Equipment & Technical Requirements
  • Marju will discuss equipment and technical requirements with the client prior to the event.

  • If required, Marju can bring her own setup or use equipment provided by the client, as agreed in advance.

  • The client is responsible for ensuring that the performance space is suitable, safe, and equipped as agreed.

5. Repertoire & Special Requests
  • Song or repertoire requests must be submitted at least two months prior to the event date to allow sufficient preparation time.

  • Requests made less than two months before the event may not be accommodated.

  • Any additional costs associated with special repertoire (e.g., sheet music purchase, arrangement fees) will be discussed and agreed upon in advance.

6. Cancellation & Refund Policy
  • Down payments are strictly non-refundable, including in cases of client cancellation.

  • If Marju is unable to perform due to unforeseen circumstances (such as illness), she will make every reasonable effort to arrange a suitable replacement violinist. However, Marju cannot be held liable for any additional costs, losses, or damages if a replacement is unavailable.

  • If Marju must cancel and no replacement is possible, all payments made (including down payments) will be fully refunded.

7. Event Timing & Delays
  • Clients are expected to ensure the event runs on schedule as per the agreed time.

  • A standard grace period of 30 minutes delay is included in the booking.

  • For every additional 30 minutes of delay beyond the initial 30 minutes, a fee of £50 will be charged, subject to Marju’s availability to stay longer. Any extension must be agreed upon through direct communication with Marju.

8. Changes to Booking
  • Any changes to the event date, time, or venue must be requested in writing and are subject to Marju’s approval and availability.

  • Changes may incur additional fees.

9. Client Responsibilities
  • The client must provide suitable access to the performance area and ensure it is safe and appropriate for the performance.

  • For outdoor performances, the client is responsible for providing adequate shelter to protect the musician and instrument from weather conditions.

  • The client must designate a point of contact who will be present and reachable on the day of the event.

10. Public Liability Insurance
  • Marju holds valid public liability insurance for all performances. Proof of insurance can be provided to the client or venue upon request.

11. Recording and Sharing
  • Audio or video recording of the performance is permitted for personal use.

  • Any public sharing of recordings (including but not limited to social media, websites, or other public platforms) must include clear tagging or mention of Marju as the performing artist.

12. Force Majeure
  • Neither Marju nor the client shall be liable for any failure to perform their obligations under this agreement if such failure is caused by circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, government restrictions, pandemics, or illness.

  • In the event of a force majeure, both parties will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the event. If rescheduling is not possible, any payments made (excluding non-refundable down payments) will be refunded.

13. Liability
  • Marju will take all reasonable care in the performance of her services. However, she shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising from the performance.

  • The client is responsible for any damage caused to Marju’s equipment or instruments by guests or third parties at the event.

14. Amendments
  • Any amendments to these Terms & Conditions must be agreed upon in writing by both parties.
